It is becoming clearer everyday that Ethiopia is less livable. What I experienced yesterday at Wabi Shebelle Hotel is very similar to what happened to me in 1956 in Knoxville, Ten.. I could never have imagined that a large number of Ethiopians who have paid for dinner would be denied entry into the dining room, simply because they have a different political conviction.
The owner of the hotel took the responsibility for violation of our rights. His reason interesting, it is the same reason that the President of Ethiopia gives, with an authentic sense of humour, for not being able stand up — technical!
